ABOUT US
What We Do
The National Anti-Doping Commission (NADC) was established by the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) and Barbados Government in March 2000, with the objective of acting as the independent Anti-Doping Organization for Barbados, the NADC has the necessary authority and responsibility for:
Drug Testing
The NADC implements a rigorous and comprehensive testing program for athletes at all levels. This includes both in-competition and out-of-competition drug testing in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code. Through its testing efforts, the Commission works to uphold the credibility of sport and protect the rights of clean athletes.
Education
A cornerstone of the NADC’s work is education and outreach. The Commission delivers anti-doping awareness sessions, workshops, and resources tailored for athletes, coaches, sports officials, and educational institutions. These initiatives promote informed decision-making, discourage doping, and foster a culture of clean competition.
Policy & Advocacy
The NADC collaborates with national, regional, and international stakeholders to develop and enforce anti-doping policies and frameworks. Through its advocacy efforts, it champions the importance of ethical conduct in sport and ensures that Barbados remains compliant with evolving global anti-doping standards.
Our Commission is led by professionals committed to upholding anti-doping principles and protecting clean athletes. We work closely with international partners like WADA and regional agencies to maintain compliance and innovation in testing and education.
